Emily said today "I remember New Year's Eve 1999. Oh my, I remember a decade ago, I'm getting old." So funny, yes you are getting old. I can't believe how fast time goes.

Babies on my day off.

So today I went to Cassie's baby shower. A lot of the girls from work were there with their kids. I held a lot of babies today. Jen's little boy was turning around in my arms to plant big sloppy kisses on my cheeck. So adorable! After I left there I went over to see Abby and Emma, they are as cute as ever. Tonight I'm going to watch some TV and chill in my chair, I'm getting the bug to scrapbook, I can't wait to go shopping at CKU on Friday!

I love this picture of Jill. She looks happy, independent, all grown up.

It's funny as your kids grow up they think you should have all the answers. But....

I don't, just as they have never been the age they are, Iv'e never been at the stage I'm at either.

So as they become independent I'm trying to find my place in all of this.

I do know this, I couldn't be more proud of the women they have become.

I love them both so much!

Why I do what I do...

Somedays I hate work, not really hate it, but an Oh no, I can't do this today kind of thing. Some days it is so very stressful. Tiny lives are in my hands. I pray on my way to work that I make good decisions that day and that I make no mistakes and that all goes well. I pray for the babies and their Moms and Dads too.
Sometimes I watch familes hold their baby while it dies, somedays I hold babies while they have painful procedures, some days it is me causing the pain, some days just suck!

Today was the NICU reunion, it couldn't have come at a better time, I've been tired and discouraged lately.
Today reminded me of why I do what I do. I get to hand a Mom her baby for the very first time, I get to send babies home with parents that questioned if that day would ever come. I get to see miracles everyday!

So all the bad days are worth it when I see all these little miracles running around, smiling, talking. I love being a part of that!

Mama Mia

So Wednesday night I went out with my friends to see Mama Mia. I don't usually like musicals but is was very good. It was such a pretty night. The rain finally stopped. Yeah! We went to Blanc Burgers and Bottles before for dinner.

Blessed

I'm feeling really blessed today. No special reason. Just appreciative of who and what I have in my life.

The chance to go to lunch with friends. Days off for to do whatever I want. The money to do those things.

I have people who love me very much. (dogs too!)

So that's all for now. I'll try to post pictures of my cute puppies later.

If you take them on a really long walk, they will nap!

Stuck under the bed.

Well, Noli did it again. How does a dog continue to get stuck under the bed.
She always looks so grateful when I pull her out. She is so cute.  I think she was under there for a long time last night. I kept hearing something and then I would fall back to sleep, poor puppy.

Today I babysat Abby for a little while, I love to hold her, then out to lunch with Meri and then did a little scrapbook shopping. Tonight I'm actually going to cook dinner, it's been awhile.
Two more days off, what shall I do?

Good Day Sunshine

Well, my first blog post.  I'm starting this blog because Emily wants me to.  It will be a great way to share pictures and stuff with my college kids. It might be fun. I would love to have a really cool site, Emily I will need your help with that.

So today I'm looking forward to Valeri coming over and helping her with a history project. We are going to use scrapbook stuff!!!!!! Then I'm going out to dinner at RC's for Cher's birthday dinner. Today is Rick Springfields 60th birthday, sexy old dude! I think that about wraps up my first entry.
